Crvena Zvezda cadets respond after TSC comeback to win 4-2

Crvena Zvezda's cadets defeated TSC 4-2 in Backa Topola in the sixth round of the national championship. The visitors built a two-goal lead, were pulled back to level terms, and then scored twice more to complete the win.

Two early goals gave Zvezda a fast start

Milos Tabacki opened the scoring in the sixth minute, and Novak Markovic doubled the visitors' lead in the 15th. Within the first quarter of an hour, the Crvena Zvezda cadets had created a two-goal advantage away from home.

Those goals established the platform for the victory, but they did not settle the game. TSC still had time to respond, and the hosts used it. The early score would later serve as protection during a comeback rather than as a margin that remained untouched.

Rankov began the TSC recovery

Rankov scored for TSC in the 34th minute and reduced the visitors' advantage to 2-1. The goal arrived before half-time, ensuring that the home side entered the interval only one step away from equality despite Zvezda's rapid opening.

The match had changed direction without yet changing leader. Zvezda were still ahead, but their two-goal cushion had been cut in half. TSC had converted a difficult early position into a live contest and carried that possibility into the second period.

Mitric completed the comeback

Mitric equalised for TSC in the 57th minute. The home side had now answered both early Zvezda goals, moving the score from 0-2 to 2-2 across either side of the interval.

At that point, the visitors could no longer rely on the advantage created by Tabacki and Markovic. The next phase required a fresh response. TSC had the momentum of a completed recovery on the scoreboard, while Zvezda had to rebuild a lead they had allowed to disappear.

Jevtic restored the visitors' lead

Lazar Jevtic provided that response in the 67th minute, only ten minutes after Mitric had made it 2-2. His goal put Crvena Zvezda back in front and prevented TSC from turning the equaliser into a lasting hold on the score.

The timing was central. Zvezda did not allow the game to remain level deep into the closing period. Jevtic changed the direction again while there was still time to manage the renewed advantage and, eventually, to add another goal.

Markovic completed his brace at the end

Markovic scored again in the 90th minute to make the final score 4-2. His first goal had created the early two-goal lead; his second confirmed the victory after TSC had erased that advantage.

The brace therefore connected two very different stages of the contest. The first finish belonged to Zvezda's fast start, while the final goal followed a successful reaction under greater pressure. Jevtic supplied the winner, and Markovic supplied the closing margin.

The response matters as much as the start

Crvena Zvezda's cadets won because they could build a lead twice. Tabacki and Markovic established the first one, but Rankov and Mitric removed it. Jevtic then started the second winning sequence before Markovic finished it.

That makes the 4-2 result distinct from a routine victory secured by two early goals. TSC demonstrated a complete comeback, yet the visitors answered it rather than losing control of the outcome. Zvezda left Backa Topola with the sixth-round win after passing both tests presented by the score.

Young players experienced two different match states

The cadets had to operate in a match that changed character several times. Crvena Zvezda first played with a two-goal lead, then saw that advantage disappear. TSC moved from an early deficit to equality, only to fall behind again ten minutes later. Those shifts required the players to reset quickly instead of treating one successful period as proof that the remaining minutes would follow the same pattern.

Jevtic's goal became the decisive response because it arrived after TSC had completed the hardest part of its recovery. Zvezda could have become cautious or unsettled at 2-2, but the visitors produced another scoring action and regained control of the result. Markovic's late second goal then closed the contest and gave the final score a wider margin than the tense middle phase suggested.

For academy football, that sequence has value beyond the points. The match asked young players to protect an advantage, react to losing it and manage a renewed lead before full time. TSC also gained experience in building a comeback and then responding when momentum changed again. The result rewards Zvezda, while the changing score offers both coaching staffs several clear moments for development work.
