Serbia won two medals in the same shooting event at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. Andjelija Stevanovic took silver and Aleksandra Stojadinovic earned bronze in the women's 10m air-rifle competition.
The completed results raised Serbia's total at the Games to 11 medals: two gold, three silver and six bronze.
Two Serbian shooters reached the same podium
Stevanovic and Stojadinovic competed in the same discipline and both finished in medal positions. Their results gave Serbia one silver and one bronze from a single event. The two placements should not be combined into one mixed result. Stevanovic finished second and Stojadinovic finished third. Each athlete therefore received a separate medal.
The event was the women's 10m air rifle. The official government report confirmed the discipline, the medal colours and the updated team total.
Serbia finished the event with 11 medals
After the shooting event, Serbia had two gold medals, three silver medals and six bronze medals. Adding those categories gives a total of 11. This total describes the team's position at the time of the official announcement. Later events may increase it, so future reports should use a newer official count rather than repeating 11 without checking.
For this completed event, however, the record is stable. The two shooters added one silver and one bronze to Serbia's campaign in Taranto.
| Medal category | Serbia's Medal Total |
|---|---|
| Gold | 2 |
| Silver | 3 |
| Bronze | 6 |
| All medals | 11 |
Two medals show Serbia's strength in one discipline
Placing two athletes in the top three is valuable because it requires more than one strong performance from the same national team. Both shooters had to manage their own series and maintain accuracy under final-stage pressure.

Serbia won silver and bronze in the women's air-rifle final.
Their medals also give Serbian shooting a visible contribution to the wider delegation. The result is easy to measure, but it also reflects preparation completed before the Games.
The podium can support confidence for later competitions. It does not guarantee the same outcome at another event, where the field, format and scores may be different.
The final result is already confirmed
The competition has already ended. Stevanovic is the silver medallist and Stojadinovic is the bronze medallist. The official announcement did not publish the shooters' point totals. It confirmed their places and medal colours.
After this event, Serbia had 11 medals at the Games. Later events can increase that number. Both shooters completed the same air-rifle final in Taranto.
Two medals came from the same demanding final
Andjelija Stevanovic won silver and Aleksandra Stojadinovic took bronze in the women's 10-metre air-rifle event. Their places were decided in the final, where every shot carries more weight as the field becomes smaller. Air-rifle scoring rewards control rather than visible speed. The athlete must repeat the same stance, breathing pattern and trigger movement while the ranking changes after each series. A small technical error can move a shooter several places.
The two medals raised Serbia's total at the Games to 11 at that point: two gold, three silver and six bronze. Later Serbian results can increase that total.
