Adriana Vilagos

Adriana Vilagos is a Serbian javelin thrower from Mali Idos who moved from exceptional junior results into the leading group of senior athletes. She won world junior titles and became a European senior medallist while still very young. Her event combines speed, balance and precise sequencing: the run-up creates energy, but that energy is useful only if the final steps, hip position and throwing arm arrive in the correct order.

Vilagos accelerates through the approach while keeping enough control for the crossover steps and final plant. The throw is not a simple test of arm strength. Her body must transfer force from the ground through the legs and torso before the javelin leaves the hand. A rushed final step can send the implement too high or pull it outside the legal sector.
