Ribnica Return to the Super League: Kraljevo Side Seal Promotion with Perfect Win Over Sloven

Ribnica volleyball club will once again compete in the Serbian Super League. The Kraljevo-based team secured their return to the country’s top division with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sloven from Ruma, winning the sets 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Ribnica entered the final round with a clear task: they had to win in straight sets to stay ahead of Novi Pazar in the race for first place. Since the two teams had the same number of victories, the set ratio became the decisive factor, putting huge pressure on the Kraljevo side.

However, Ribnica proved ready for the most important match of the season. Backed by their home fans at the new sports hall, the team started confidently and remained focused from the opening point. The hosts did not allow Sloven to seriously threaten them, controlling the rhythm of the game in all three sets and calmly securing the victory that meant promotion back to the elite.

The Kraljevo side won the opening set 25-17 and took the second by the same score. Sloven tried to offer more resistance in the third set, but Ribnica did not allow any turnaround and closed out the match 25-18.

With this triumph, the “Musketeers” crowned a season in which they showed consistency, quality and character. The achievement is especially important as the club returns to the Super League after just one year in the lower division, once again confirming the strong tradition of volleyball in Kraljevo.

Captain Todorović, Biđanin, Lukić, the Delević brothers, Petković, Rovčanin, Tomić, Agatonović, Ristović, Kočović, Kovačević, Milanović and Miljković all made major contributions to the success. Significant credit also goes to the coaching staff led by coach Živanović, who managed to prepare the team for the biggest challenge of the season.

Ribnica now return to the company of Serbia’s best volleyball clubs and will once again be part of the country’s top competition next season. After such a strong finish to the campaign, it is clear that the Kraljevo club does not want only to come back to the Super League, but also to play a notable role among the elite.
