Aleksa Avramovic will spend the 2026-27 season at Bahcesehir on loan from Dubai Basketball. The agreement is for one year. In Istanbul, he will again work with Serbian coach Aleksandar Djordjevic.
Avramovic joined Dubai last summer and helped the club win the ABA League. He played 22 EuroLeague games, with averages of 9.3 points, three assists and two rebounds.
The agreement is a one-year loan
Dubai remain Avramovic's parent club, while Bahcesehir receive the guard for one season. The format gives the move a clear start and end without presenting it as a permanent transfer.
The one-year agreement was confirmed on July 17. It concerns the loan, the two clubs and the coming season. No additional option was announced.
Avramovic developed in Cacak and Belgrade before moving abroad. His senior club list includes Borac Cacak and OKK Beograd in Serbia. He then played for Varese in Italy and for Unicaja and Estudiantes in Spain.
Those moves gave him experience in several domestic systems before he returned to Serbia with Partizan.
Djordjevic and Avramovic know each other from Serbia
Aleksandar Djordjevic is the head coach of Bahcesehir. He has already coached Avramovic with the Serbian national team, so their new cooperation begins with previous experience.
That connection is a fact about their careers, not a promise about the player's role. Lineups and minutes will be decided after the team begins its work.
Partizan signed Avramovic in 2021. He spent three seasons with the Belgrade club and was part of the team that won the ABA League in 2023. The next move took him to CSKA Moscow.
He won the VTB League there in 2025 before joining Dubai Basketball for its first EuroLeague season.

The guard arrives after an ABA League title
Dubai won the ABA League during Avramovic's first season with the club. The title added another team honour to a career that has included basketball in Serbia, Spain, Italy and Russia.
He previously won the ABA League with Partizan in 2023. He also won the VTB League with CSKA Moscow in 2025 before moving to Dubai.

His established game combines pressure on the opposing guard with quick attacks after a turnover. He can play with the ball and can also defend the first action of a possession.
Those are qualities already visible across his club and national-team career. They are not a promise about a fixed Bahcesehir role.
His EuroLeague season produced a clear statistical record
Serbia's July basketball schedule also included Serbia's U20 knockout assignment against Italy.
Avramovic appeared in 22 EuroLeague games for Dubai. He averaged 9.3 points, three assists and two rebounds. Those figures describe his season without predicting how Bahcesehir will use him.
The Turkish club will play in the EuroCup. That gives Avramovic another European competition after his recent EuroLeague campaign.
The loan reunites several separate parts of Avramovic's career in Istanbul. Djordjevic knows him from Serbia, while Ponitka and Mike shared time with him at Partizan. Bahcesehir also provide a European schedule through the EuroCup.
Each connection is confirmed before the first team sheet is announced.
Bahcesehir return to the EuroCup
Bahcesehir reached the EuroCup semi-finals last season and will enter the competition again. The club therefore add a guard with experience in several European leagues and with the Serbian national team.
The tournament status is already confirmed. Match dates, opponents and Avramovic's minutes belong to the later schedule and are not assumed here.
Dubai keep the player's contract during the loan period. Bahcesehir register him for the coming season, and the player returns unless the clubs announce another agreement. This basic structure is common in basketball transfers.
No buyout clause or permanent option was published.

Two former Partizan teammates are already in Istanbul
Mateusz Ponitka and Isiaha Mike are also Bahcesehir players. Both shared a Partizan squad with Avramovic, although they did not all have the same role or career path.
Their presence gives the new squad several players with common experience. Normal preseason work with Djordjevic and the rest of the team still follows.
The move follows a long club career
Avramovic has represented Borac Cacak, OKK Beograd, Varese, Unicaja, Estudiantes, Partizan, CSKA Moscow and Dubai. Bahcesehir becomes the next club on that list.
His career has moved through different leagues and European competitions. The one-year loan is the latest confirmed step, rather than a description of what comes after it.
His national-team medals remain separate achievements
Avramovic won World Cup silver with Serbia in 2023 and Olympic bronze in Paris in 2024. Those results are important context for a Serbian international with extensive experience.
They do not decide his place at Bahcesehir. The present news is narrower: Dubai have loaned him to Djordjevic's club for the 2026-27 season.
Bahcesehir become the ninth senior club named in Avramovic's career record. The season also returns him to Istanbul, where Serbian internationals have long appeared in domestic and European basketball.
