Uroš Medić to Headline First UFC Event in Belgrade

Serbian MMA fighter Uroš Medić is set for one of the biggest opportunities of his career. The welterweight will headline the first UFC event in Belgrade, scheduled for August 1 at Belgrade Arena, where he will face experienced American fighter Daniel Rodriguez in a five-round main event.

For Medić, this is much more than just another important UFC fight. It is a home-country main event in front of Serbian fans, who are expected to give him a huge reception before he even steps into the Octagon.

Medić enters the fight with strong momentum. The Serbian fighter has won three straight bouts, with all three victories coming in the first round. His biggest recent win came against Geoff Neal, whom he knocked out in just 79 seconds. That performance pushed Medić further into the welterweight picture and gave the UFC a major highlight to promote its historic first visit to Serbia.
