Representatives of the Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon Foundation visited an inclusive camp in Bogovađa. The first group includes children with disabilities attending sports and rehabilitation activities.

Belgrade's disability sports association runs the programme at the Red Cross resort. The schedule includes guided exercise, rehabilitation sessions, recreational activities and group social time.

The first group receives one shared programme

The visit concerned the first group attending the current camp. Children take part in organised activities inside the Bogovađa resort.

The programme serves children with disabilities in an inclusive setting. Organisers list greater independence among its main aims.

Improved physical ability is another stated goal. The schedule uses sport and rehabilitation during the same residential stay.

Social activities also form part of the camp. Children spend time with other participants outside the organised exercise periods.

The resort keeps accommodation and programme spaces in one location. That arrangement supports a continuous daily schedule.

Three organisations hold different responsibilities

The Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon Foundation provides the humanitarian programme. Its representatives visited participants during the current first group.

The Belgrade Sports Association for Persons with Disabilities contributes specialist sports experience. Its Serbian abbreviation is SSOSIB.

The Red Cross provides the resort where the camp takes place. The property is located in Bogovađa, outside central Belgrade.

These organisations bring funding, trained staff and facilities into one programme. The current announcement names each partner separately.

The visit focused on children and their completed activities. It did not present the camp as a competitive tournament.

Sport and rehabilitation share the daily schedule

Sports activities provide structured movement during the stay. Exercises are organised for participants with different abilities.

Rehabilitation sessions appear alongside recreation rather than replacing it. The programme also includes social contact and new experiences.

The organisers connect these activities with physical development. Independence is addressed through the shared residential environment.

No medals or rankings determine the camp's result. Organisers record participation and completed activities for each group.

The first group follows the same broad programme throughout its stay. Staff remain present during sport, rehabilitation and recreation.

Darko Habus describes the programme's purpose

Belgrade Marathon director Darko Habus also manages the foundation. He described the camp as an example of solidarity created through sport.

His statement connected a major public race with support away from race day. The camp represents one of the foundation's main humanitarian programmes.

Location Bogovađa
Programme Sports and rehabilitation camp
Participants Children with disabilities
Sports partner SSOSIB

The foundation directs its work toward persons with disabilities. This project places that policy into a residential sports setting.

The July visit brought foundation representatives directly to the participants. Children were already completing the planned camp programme.

The Bogovađa stay combines organised rehabilitation, recreation and sport. Children complete the programme inside the Red Cross resort.

The organisations also held a Bogovađa camp in 2025

The same partners also organised a Bogovađa camp in 2025. That edition was described as their second consecutive summer programme.

Its first group contained forty-four children accompanied by caregivers. The sports camp lasted six days during that earlier edition.

Professional coaches guided the 2025 activities before the following sports season. Social events and workshops were added around training.

That history shows an existing partnership before the current visit. The 2026 group continues work already tested at the same resort.

The forty-four participants belonged to the documented 2025 group. The current programme began with a new first group and partner visit.

The first camp group is staying in Bogovađa

Children with disabilities are currently attending the Bogovađa programme. The visit confirms that the first group has begun its stay.

Sport, rehabilitation, social activities and an inclusive environment define the published programme. Each element appears in the organisers' stated aims.

SSOSIB remains the specialist sports partner. The Red Cross resort supplies the physical setting for all scheduled activities.

The foundation supports the programme as part of its humanitarian work. Its representatives met the participants during the active camp.

The active programme involves one location and three partner organisations. The July visit focused on its first group of children.

The previous camp included sport and social activities

The 2025 programme included sport, social time, singing and workshops. Those activities accompanied the six-day training schedule.

Singer Ana Stanić visited that earlier group and joined a karaoke evening. Her appearance was separate from the current 2026 visit.

Nemanja Radović represented the disability sports association during the earlier programme. Milan Mirković attended for the Red Cross of Belgrade.

Draženko Mitrović also met the children and caregivers. Their visits showed the responsibilities shared by the partner organisations.

The foundation also used its SMS for a Kilometre campaign for inclusive programmes. Donations connected covered race kilometres with financial support.

These earlier details provide background for the continuing partnership. The current camp remains centred on children, sport and rehabilitation.
